Ifeoma Okoye is a graduate of the University of Nigeria, N-sukka and Aston University, Birmingham in the United Kingdom. She was, until August 2000, a Senior Lecturer in English at N-namdi Azi-ki-we University, Awka (ahh-kwer), Nigeria. She and her late husband, the prolific writer and front-line civil rights activist Mokwugo Okoye, have five children.

Ifeoma is the award-winning author of Behind The Clouds, Men Without Ears, Chimere, and The Trial and Other Stories (from African Heritage Press, 2005).

Today Ifeoma lives in Enugu, Nigeria.
