Robert Ward began winning literary prizes in his senior year at Towson University.
Considered a classic that remains critically relevant, Ward’s book Red Baker, the Best American Novel 1985, has been favorably compared to The Grapes of Wrath and The Great Gatsby. His noir thriller, Four Kinds of Rain, received a nomination for the Hammet Prize in 2006. This year Ward will publish two books, the novel The Best, Bad Dream with Grove/Atlantic, and a collection of his best magazine pieces titled Renegades, from Tyrus Books. In addition, all of Ward’s back list in now available in ebook and trade paperback from Tyrus Books.
